I have caught the most recent flu virus and am now sick. Stuffy nose, headache, and sore throat etc...
When I told my parents, the first thing my dad said was, "I told you to wear more clothes."
Somehow they always join the dots between getting sick and not wearing enough clothes. OK, I'm not four years old, sometimes it's not because I forget a jacket and I catch a cold (though most of the time it's probably is). But, no, I refuse to accept that fact. It just doesn't work like that. When I have allergies and I sneeze a lot in the morning, my dad says the same thing, "Put on your jacket." But you see, allergies and clothes has no relations.
So no, I will never accede to that statement. I caught a cold probably from my bf who thinks he's not sick but was complaining of a sore throat over the weekend. I happen to have a poor immune system because of my allergies and what not, so I most likely caught something from him or from eating out.
Oh, just so you know, wearing too much can give you a cold to. According to the Chinese Medicine or TCM, a heat cold is when one's body is too hot and the heat can not be released causing fever and cold like symptoms.
