This blog is more like a personal diary where I will rant on life blunders and fortunes. My motto is "listen, read, and learn". Listen to people's life story no matter how young or old they are. Read anything that sparks your interest but also read broadly. Do these two, knowledge and critical thinking skills will increase.
With that said, I am adding number three - write something everyday. With all the technology today, we hardly pick up a pen anymore. I remember back before college, I used to write at least a few days each week in my diary with a little heart shaped lock. What's wrong here? I stopped writing with my pen and started typing into Xanga. Typing stopped when my social life got to busy in college and any spare moment at home I spent studying or napping. All together, diary writing stopped. The year I was bound to graduate from college, I realized that my spelling and writing (especially when I had to use a pen) was really horrible. There would be times when I write a word and the spelling looks ... weird. As if these words in my handwriting are very distant and unfriendly. That's when I became aware that my lack of writing is a big problem. It's been two years since I realized that and I have a diary with about 10 pages written in it in those two years. Embarrassing isn't it?
I can not stress how important writing is. Writing is a way to express our feelings, thoughts, and experiences. Writing is a way to communicate. Writing is a chance for us to reflect. Without doing any writing, we are practically living without learning and we learn most when we reflect from our mistakes or experiences.
So my big number 3 is to write. Write something everyday. A paragraph is better than none. Writing in short sentences like poems is expressive and fun. If you have time, write with a pen. If you are so busy to spare 10 minutes, use a blog like this. Really, typing at 70wpm will get your brain ticking because you type faster than sentences are formed. I am choosing this blog for my little exercise because I want to take this opportunity to share what I think about our world today. Maybe my mistakes will help prevent yours. Like number 2, read, maybe you'll read something useful here. Spare a moment for me and who knows - maybe my writing is full of crap and my life is just so boring or maybe it's a litte like yours and you can relate?
So, a little about me to end the first post of this blog. My name is Christina Wah and I'm 24 years old. I graduated from UCI in 2009 where I studied Bio Sci and Sociology. I am currently working at an acupuncture office as a part time receptionist.
I've only been in this world for 24 years. To some I'm still young, but to me, I am old and time is ticking faster. I may have never felt great disasters and I may have had an easy life growing up. Still, I have memory of at least 20 or so years of my life to share. If anyone stumbles across me here, thank you for your time. If you are interested, please follow my blog. If you ponder the same things or have a solution to my many problems, please leave me a comment.
To summarize, I'm a 20 something girl trying to find some answers to life.
P.S - it doesn't matter if you are bad at spelling and your grammar is incorrect - just write. So bare with my mistakes too!
