Hello? I'm still here!?

What suddenly came to mind was how my friend was playing with his cell phone while we were waiting for waiter and meal to arrive. It's just plain rude to the other people around you who came to dinner just because of you (just came back from overseas). People with cellphones these days are either texting, browsing (facebook), or doing something on their phone EVERYWHERE. Some places are just inappropriate. Only acceptable times should be if you are ALONE and waiting in a long long line or for a doctor's appointment so you can check some email etc. Also not acceptable when you are at work especially if you are a professional, say a nurse, no I really don't want to know that you are having a horrible day at work while you are still at work supposedly saving people's lives ??

Oh and when you are driving and your friend receives a call and starts chatting until destination... you are not a taxi driver, right? So, if you ever get a call during a car ride, pick up if it's important and let the person know you'll call them back asap. Don't just sit there and chat mindlessly ignoring your driving friend.

I know these might sound like common sense but actually people do these sometimes without knowing that other people might feel left out or annoyed. Just putting this out there for those who might not have realized...
